The clinic was extremely clean, hygienic, and professional, which made me feel comfortable straight away. The oriental lady who did my treatment was amazing, very gentle, professional, and attentive throughout the session. She explained the process clearly and made everything feel easy and comfortable. Updated review: I reached out to the clinic shortly after my original post and was asked to book an appointment to discuss my concerns. The staff were again welcoming and Catherine (the owner and the aesthetician who had administered two of my treatments) took her time to understand my anxieties and issues. She explained how even though I’d had many previous treatments with a different machine, at a different clinic, as I was a new patient to them, it was imperative that they put safety first and increase settings on the laser machine incrementally, especially as I have fragile skin. Keeping this in mind, three sessions would not have been enough. Catherine asked me to consider trying more treatments to see better results. I had been anxious about continuing further, but by the end of the conversation, I felt reassured by Catherine’s expertise and her willingness to listen and understand my fears. I have just completed another three treatments on my face, with the settings increasing with each session. After my second treatment, I noticed finer hair growth and I’m hoping this third session will mean even finer hair growth and that subsequent treatments will mean fewer sessions in the future. I also hope to continue treatment on my arms in the winter. I feel reassured too, that Catherine and her team invite and respond well to direct communication (which I had been too anxious to do in the first instance) and genuinely seem to care for the wellbeing of their customers. Original review: I had three courses of laser hair removal on my face (after having around 30 sessions elsewhere) at London Skin Wellness. I had some light patches of hair on my chin and cheeks and a couple of patches on my upper lip that I wanted treated. The staff were all lovely and were confident the treatment would further reduce the few patches that remained. Unfortunately, three sessions later and my hair has grown back in all other areas of the face and darker and thicker. This has caused me severe distress. Furthermore, I had one session for my arms. At the consultation, I asked the therapist if LHR would work on my arms and that if there was uncertainty, I would rather not go ahead. She encouraged me to go ahead with the treatment. My arm hair is now much thicker and longer and I can no longer envision being able to wear anything that reveals my arms any longer. I should add, I do not have hormonal imbalances and neither am I taking medication that would encourage hair growth. The staff were all friendly, I can't fault how I was received at the salon. But the treatment has completely ruined my self-esteem.
I visited the clinic for a soon consultation for a facial . I was advised that this is essential to ensure that I receive the best treatment to achieve my skin goals. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival the clinic is clean and inviting . The therapist then took a image of my cleasned face to get a true picture and understanding of my skin. She then proceeded to discuss the best treatment . I am now looking forward to my first facial here this week. I really do have high hopes and feeling excited
